What are our personal beliefs about knowledge, truth, and authority, and how do these beliefs affect the way we think, learn, and relate to the world? This book addresses this central question of personal epistemology and epistemic cognition in a current, comprehensive, and accessible manner.
With the explosion of media outlets and trends in participatory culture questions about who, what, and how we know and trust are of particular importance.

Accessible and highly engaging

I have recently returned to study from a successful career and was really struggling with Epistemology My discipline is psychology and this book gave me the stepping stones from my practice into the world of knowing and knowledge. It has sparked further exploration and even a real interest in the field when I had found the work of others in accessible and overly theoretical.
