Making Elementary Math Exciting!!

Dr. McVarish presents not only strategies for questioning, encouraging kids' curiosity and sense of wonder, helping students develop critical thinking skills, and inclusion of reflective mathematical thinking in all learning possibilities, but also provides tips on transitions, whole school projects, working together with parents, creative ideas on homework, cultural diversity issues in math, standardized testing, and much more. I don't usually say this about textbooks, but I really wasn't ready for this one to end. I'm almost ready to go back into teaching in elementary school classrooms just to try some of her methods :)
